The introduction of the Concessionary Travel Scheme in April 2008 has provided a significant boost to the use of Smartcards on public transport. This will be increased further in 2010 when London Oyster cards incorporate ITSO.

Key issues to be discussed:

  • An operator's view on Smartcards and the roll out of concessionary passes on cards
  • Plans for the use of Smartcards at the 2012 Olympics
  • Use Smartcards to cover local service
